MOVE

"Move" is one of the most fascinating real life stories that I have ever lived yet know little about. In short, a group of people, following a certain way of life, decided to live their way of life in West Philadelphia. Then all hell breaks loose. The mayor of the city, who happens to be a minority, decides to bomb the homes which as you can imagine doesn't go very well. Children are killed, violence erupts, a neighborhood is destroyed, and law suits are settled years later.

Thanks to Director Jason Osder, former Philadelphian & assistant professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University, this amazing story will be told. Osder's documentary, Let it Burn, will shine light on the 11 deaths and 61 homes destroyed in the 1985 travesty.

PROPS TO NPR FOR ALL THE DETAILS
