In general, 69% of our society just doesn't get it. They are the people that make you scratch your head, pondering what the hell they were thinking. The remaining 31% are those that have chosen to represent a rational way of life, while being open to others, and respecting ALL KINDS OF COOL....What Percent Are You?

SLICE OF HEAVEN
One of my best friends bet his older brother when they were preteens that he would never eat a hamburger. His brother agreed to never drink liquor. Twenty plus years later neither brother has touched a beef patty, beer, or shot of liquor. It took the gentleman above 72 years to try a slice of pizza. Check out his story here. For the records, beer, shots, pizza, and hamburgers take up approximately 65% of my current diet.

If you didn’t know, UC Dining Days is from July 14th-28th this year. I had the pleasure to take my dining services to Elena’s Soul Lounge. No white T, no backwards hat. (They don’t allow that in the restaurant.)
So, if you are unfamiliar with UC Dining Days here is the website: HERE
The special is $15 for a 3 course meal. If you aren’t starving, I suggest you go with the “Crib” salad. I wasn’t starving, and this is “Eating with Eaze” so you know I had the “Set It Off” Sweet and Sour wings. They were a great way to start the meal. The Bruce Le’Roys Fried Mac & Cheese Sushi was different and very light. If you are looking to explore, try it, but you aren’t missing much if you don’t. It’s fried Mac and Cheese with shredded BBQ chicken on top.
The Second Course
There are five choices; I sampled two of the five, The Classic Soul, and The Soul. I clearly have Soul. The Classic Soul was four fried chicken wings, a ton of collard greens, and a mountain of Mac and Cheese. Everything on the plate was incredible. If you have people in the family with high blood pressure, they probably have had their fair share of plates like this.
The Soul was that southern classic plate of fried whiting and Grits. Don’t forget to throw in a side of fries! The fish was amazing, fried to perfection. The grits were some of the best I’ve had. And they didn’t even have to make them cheese grits. The fries were not really good, but after you devour the fish n’ grits the fries are an after thought.
Dessert
Dessert options were peach cobbler and sweet potato pie. The sweet potato pie was better than the cobbler, but at this point in the meal unless you hadn’t eaten all day, the dessert is really just a bonus.
This is a great sit down meal for $15 and the service isn't bad either. That’s always a plus.
It’s UC Dining Days, Go eat!
Thanks Elena’s Soul Lounge

Eating with Eaze - Just to Serve You

4-20-2011, is a day some remember, most don’t. You know the usual 4:20 festivities take place at a high level on this day. But on that Wednesday what did you eat? My official food sponsor was not Frito Lay or Checkers. It was the west Philly based “Just To Serve You”. Their motto should be: “All Itis Everything” because everything on the menu is infused with that special ingredient of which Chappelle’s show referred to in Season 2 episode 3. Everything seems made to order, so my suggestion is to call in your order, read a few posts on 31percentlife.com then make your way to the location. Or if you’re outside of West Philly, order than begin your drive to the location. By the time you get there your order should be ready.
The customer service is always important anywhere I eat, and the employees lived up to the name of the store, they were really there “Just to serve you.” No attitude, no nonsense, just great service.
MAKE SURE YOU EAT THIS FOOD WITH YOUR PJ’S ON!!
I’m a certified asshole. I explored the menu and ordered seafood at a Soul Food spot. But I still won because at this spot you can order with your eyes closed and still get a great platter.
Luckily, I had this platter for dinner, and nothing was planned for my evening. But if you work and eat this amazing food at lunch, it’s pretty much guaranteed you will be comatose sometime between lunch and your clock-out time.
Overall Rating: A+ (highly recommended)
Thank You Soul Food God for “Just To Serve You”!!! http://www.just2serveyou.com/
