One of my most vivid memories as a child is laying on the grass during summer camp, looking up at the clouds, and having my teacher instruct the class to tell her what we see. I can recall the most amazing things being shouted out: cars, fish, flower pots (true story), people, and animals.
It fascinates me that the older that we get, the further away we get from looking up at the clouds (our life) and imaging what we see. We get so caught up in the moment, we never dream of what could “be”.
I’m glad to see that this little girl is looking up in the clouds.
Editors Note: I JUST WENT DEEP. SNOOP DOGG/LAWRENCE FISHBURN DEEP COVER DEEP. BRUCE WILLIS ABYSS DEEP.
If this piece had a theme song, this would be it. Better yet, this song would have been playing as I typed. Additionally, red candles would be lit around me for no particular reason other than the fact that I think it would have been an ill look. A little Wesley Snipes from “Blade” mixed with a porno.
The video is from the New York listening session for Kayne's Graduation. Not content to just play the album, Kanye commissioned a bunch of videos to accompany the music and provide the crowd with some visual stimulation. Now he's releasing them online for public consumption.
