Life can be full of fun and games!

My love for video games has begun to wain considerably over the years. I don't have the time or the energy to learn how to play new games or gaming systems. I also am not in the video game loop anymore. I am not sure which games are cool.

Now, if I had written this 10 years ago, my tune would have been extremely different.

Sort of like 16-year-old North Carolina native Blake Peebles who has decided to drop out of high school and begin his career as a professional Guitar Hero player. This gig, pun intended, pays a grand total of $8000 a year.

In a story on Yahoo.com that profiled Mr. Peebles, it seems that he experienced "victories in Guitar Hero tournaments, which include gift certificates, gaming equipment, and chicken sandwiches."

Sounds like a plan to me. I think I will turn in my resignation papers tomorrow and start my new life as a professional Madden player.

Actually you are wrong and I can prove it.

Blake tested out of his End of Year exams for the 12th grade when he was in the 9th grade. He now has private tutors and continues to get straight A's. He is aiming to join Major League Gaming and if he isn't signed to MLG he plans on attending a local University that teaches video game design and programming.

We only have one life to live; so why not live life to the fullest while you can.
