So I'm in class my senior year of high school and a friend of mine comes in with a few stink bombs. Some were thrown around the school. However, mine were not.
On the way to lunch my friends and I discussed what to do with the remaining bombs. Just then, our troll-doll-collecting English teacher walked by and overheard our conversation. My friends told me that I was imagining things which played into my decision to place all of the remaining stink bombs into my locker.
In true after school TV special form, the troll-doll-collecting English teacher passed our conversation along to the principal who, in turn, searched my locker and suspended me and my friends for possession of stink bombs.
I didn't snitch, pass blame, or make excuses for my actions. I simply accepted my 2 year sentence...I mean 2 day suspension like a man.
I wish more people understood that the social ills that effect our world are not a result of hip hop. If anything, hip hop, blues, rock, heavy metal and any other form of music that is created off of raw emotion are reflections of how screwed up and out of wack our world is.
I like how well this blog was written. I think that Ice Cube just said it a little better.
